Poetry: Helen Keller

She,

In the dark,

Found light

Brighter than many ever see.

She,

Within herself,

Found loveliness,

Through the soul’s own mastery.

And now the world receives

From her dower:

The message of the strength

Of inner power.

Langston Hughes

Poetry: Do It Again

Jump into the fire

Grab life by the horns

Do things people dream of

It’s the reason we are born

You can’t avoid the danger

You need to learn to dance

Making it your partner

You need to take the chance

No regrets or worries

You must embrace the fear

Put your life in service

To those you hold most dear

So saddle up and hold on tight

It’s time to live to win

You know that you will sometimes fall

Just get up and do it again

Poetry: Life

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfil it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it.

Poetry: Be Happy, Not Perfect

There is no such thing as perfect. Where did the word come from ? The perfect husband, the perfect job the perfect house, the perfect marriage.

We are all human, living in a human world, Most are nice, sincere, loving, even kind. But perfect causes such unhappiness.

Perfect is unreal, untouchable. Accept good, well done and wonderful. Do your best, be your best. There is no such thing as perfect. Be happy, not perfect.
