Poetry: A simple act of kindness

A simple act of kindness

can stop a million tears.

A little hug

can give so much joy.

A letter now and then to someone

can save so many wasted years.

We should hold every moment precious

and help as many as we can.

With a simple act of kindness

every now and then.

The world would be a better place

If we all cared a little more.

Imagine how many smiling faces

would greet us at the door

If we extended that helping hand

With a simple act of kindness

that could spread across many lands.

Poetry: Look into yourself

You have learnt so much

And read a thousand books.

Have you ever read your self ?

You have gone to mosque and temple.

Have you ever visited your soul ?

You are busy fighting Satan.

Have your ever fought your ill intentions ?

You have reached into the skies,

But you have failed to reach

What’s in your heart!

-Bulleh Shah

Poetry: Rakshabandhan

One of the most adorable pair

is of a brother and a sister

with profound love and cares mixture

To tease his sis is a brothers greatest pleasure

And to get praised by a bro is a sister’s deepest desire

As a bro rarely admire

But he always inspire.

They can be from different mother

but that’s not a matter to bother.

As divine and strong relationships are seemed to be harder.

A brother is like a father no matter bigger or smaller.

Mostly bro and sis fight when are together.

But also can’t live without each other.

So let’s gather

And celebrate the occasion of Rakshabandhan in this

Patriotic and pleasant weather.

Poetry: Self Satisfaction

Compare yourself with same people

who are equivalent to you or at same level

you shall always feel frustrated when compared with rich!

As you may never be able to reach

Be happy with what you are!

Do not try to stretch too far

you may not be able to adjust in time

whatever you have may be lost sometimes

Personal satisfaction does matter

If you look at others and suffer

Think of a person below you

you will come to know the truth

Do not suffer the impact of old age

It is coming for all the age groups

If someone has no legs

Feel happy that you have at least legs to beg

This shall generate self confidence

You may wake up at once

Try to improve upon

And carry on with energy soon

-Hasmukh Amathalal

Poetry: Hard work

Hard work

Oh, Man! Work like a dog and live like a king

Hard work can help you accomplish anything

The systematic work only bears the fruit

Try to select only an appropriate route.

You’re a gifted human being with intelligence

Show your prodigy and prove your confidence

The world is so wonderful with opportunities

In which you live around many communities

Do not be lazy and be as busy as beaver

Your hard work and sweet pay you return

Your identity is your dignity and designation.

It gives you certainly fame and recognition.

Students constantly work hard for success

Parents really strive hard for their progress

Players play hard for glory and conviction.

Warriors struggle for the nation’s protection.

-Setaluri Padmavathi

Poetry: Don’t give up

DON’T GIVE UP AND DON’T GIVE IN

IT’S ALL IN THE LORD’S HANDS

NO MATTER WHAT YOU YOUR FACING

HE IS THE ONE WHO CAN.

IN ANY SITUATION

HIS GRACE CAN TURN IT AROUND

SO YOU CAN BE VICTORIOUS

AS HIS LOVE DOES ABOUND.

THE BEGINNING AND THE END HE KNOWS

AND ALL THAT’S IN BETWEEN

SO PUT YOUR TOTAL TRUST IN HIM

TO HIM IT’S ALL FORESEEN.

HE KNOWS ABOUT YOUR STRUGGLES

HE KNOWS ABOUT YOUR PAIN

YOUR HARDSHIPS AND YOUR SORROWS

AND HE WILL HELP YOU TO REIGN.

SO DON’T GIVE UP AND DON’T GIVE IN

DON’T QUIT BEFORE IT’S TIME

GOD’S GRACE WILL GIVE YOU POWER

TO MAKE IT TO THE FINISH LINE

IN HIS WAY AND TIME!!!

Poetry: Inner Peace

So much has been written

About peace in the world,

Peace on earth, Peace be with you,

Shalom.

Peace is more

Than the absence of war,

More than tolerance

More than acceptance.

There can never be peace

Between individuals or nations,

Until we are at peace with ourselves

That inner peace that passes understanding.

-David Moe

Poetry: Helen Keller

She,

In the dark,

Found light

Brighter than many ever see.

She,

Within herself,

Found loveliness,

Through the soul’s own mastery.

And now the world receives

From her dower:

The message of the strength

Of inner power.

Langston Hughes
